GuildMaster on RueLaLa

This chest is beautiful! I found it while shopping on RueLaLa, an invitation only shopping lovers dream where members discover private sale Boutiques for a limited time. Anyways, this chest is made by GuildMaster, a home furnishing company founded in 2000 that supplies unique, hand crafted pieces. As someone who has been redesigning her room for the past year this piece makes me so excited. The distressed look and old world print make it so charming. If you are a RueLaLa member there are still 3 left to buy! Check out GuildMasters on Facebook and Decorize.com and become a member of RueLaLa with this invitation!

swing open the windows

101_4510

this is the bedroom of one of free people's senior designers behind their fp one line and it is to die for. i came across it on their blog, BLDG 25, and have gone back numerous times to draw inspiration from the pictures. free people's blog was actually the first blog that i started following on a daily basis and they never let me down! it is always full of great music, beautiful fashion, creative diy projects and lovely spaces.
the walls in this room have a textured look to it, as if the walls are made from clay and compliment the deep rugged yet soft wooden pieces. my favorite part would have to be the french windows. don't you just want to swing them open and throw your head out to breathe in the fresh air??

sincerely,
liz

my first post

while getting my daily dose of blogs, i came across another picture of this NY loft on coco+kelley. after discovering it was from atlanta homes & lifestyles i had to see if there were any other pictures and there were! i couldn't help but drool over the other pictures of the loft and then was stopped dead in my clicks by this bedroom. how great would it be to wake up in a room with such a fresh clean slate? there really isn't anything like it. so after months of debating about whether or not to start my own collection of beautiful spaces i finally took the plunge. (oddly at 2am)
i am always finding myself drawn to neutral, organic and clean colors like whites, browns, blacks, grays and sometimes just a hint of color. i would say that i'd prefer a white room with maybe a vintage gold mirror and just a sprinkle green. kind of like the picture below!
